Say Goodbye To Spam: Gmail’s Got You Covered!
Frustrated by spam or promotional emails from e-commerce sites? US tech giant Google is reportedly rolling out a new unsubscribe button in Gmail’s Android app, making it easier to opt out of spam.
Gmail’s unsubscribe button feature is currently not widely available, and there is no information on its availability on iOS devices.
As reported by AssembleDebug over at TheSpAndroid , a Gmail unsubscribe button is in development for the latest version of the Gmail app for Android. The unsubscribe button is located next to the sender’s information, and by tapping it you unsubscribe from future emails.
The report also revealed that desktop Gmail can now automatically add an unsubscribe button to messages if it finds an unsubscribe link in a message. Click the button to stop receiving unwanted emails. On a mobile device, tap the three-dot menu icon to find the unsubscribe button.
According to AssembleDebug, the emails show a clear “Unsubscribe” button that you can easily opt out of. This feature will be included in the latest Gmail update (version 2023.11.12) for Android smartphones, according to the report.
Meanwhile, Google has also expanded support for the car accident detection feature to several countries, including India now. Crash detection works similarly to Apple’s iPhone feature, but Google has brought support to Android for certain phones already.
As the name suggests, crash detection uses your Android phone’s sensors to alert you if you encounter an accident. Google is offering car crash detection in India, which also shows the company’s direction in the country, which also plans to start production of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro by early 2024.
Google makes it clear that crash detection is currently only available on Pixel phones, and even there you need a Pixel 4a or later, which also includes the Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 series.
